Nickelodeon and Stuff

Guys. I’ve been working for the last 6 months on a single project. Because it’s been announced publicly over at CartoonBrew, I think it’s fairly safe to pass on the info here.

I did a pilot for Nickelodeon. yes, the same Nickelodeon that brought us Ren & Stimpy, SpongeBob Squarepants, Doug, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, and it’s where Adventure Time debuted. I pitched back in July I think, during Annecy in France. My idea was greenlit much to my absolute delight. I started things in Plett and later headed to the nice people at TriggerFish in Cape Town, had a really nice time, we now have a short pilot called ‘MooseBox’. I absolutely cannot wait to show people. It’s one of the coolest things I’ve done and fulfils a long-held desire I’ve had to make a particular kind of show. I’d dig to have a longer format to explore weirder dialogue, this pilot I think is NIIICE and if we’re lucky, you’ll like it too.

In other news, I created a tech rider for my brother’s band that ended up looking like a printed circuit board diagram or some kind of instruction manual:

I also found this picture I did a while ago in my scanner. Never posted it though. I guess I was feeling a little melancholy that day. It looks a little silly now but it made sense in the moment:
