Hello friends! A wrap-up of news in the Bru & Boegie Baldiverse! Flash Game Vibes 2026 Festival + 35% Off Discount I’m thrilled that ‘Bru & Boegie: Episode 1‘ is included in the Flash Game Vibes 2026 festival that takes place on Steam from the 7-20 Feb 2026. The game certainly does have a strong 90s / early 2000s ‘flash game’ feel to it. As part of the 2-week festival, the game is 35% off – the lowest it’s ever been. It’s already pretty cheap, so hopefully the discount will attracts new players to the world of Bru & Boegie, and I hope peeps are looking forward to and stick around for Episode 2 and 3. Episode 2 is already panning out to be a couple orders of magnitude bigger than Episode 1. Korean The latest v1.26 update includes a KOREAN translation of the game’s text dialogue and UI. The game has now been translated into 3 languages: I’d still be…

2025 Indie Game Awards Nominee
Lemme set the scene: Louise (my wife) and I were watching a movie on TV on Friday night. I have a bad habit of reaching for my phone whenever things on TV show gets too stressful, and the movie (Lee) was getting stressie, so I checked out the Indie Game Awards nominees. As I was browsing through the spreadsheet, I saw ‘Bru & Boegie: Episode 1‘. I froze. “Fr?!” Then I checked the site and lo, it was true! 🤩 By some stroke of luck my first commercial indie game ‘Bru & Boegie: Episode 1 – Get da MILK!‘ has been nominated in a prestigious indie awards events. It’s in the ‘African Indie Game Award’ category (I’m stoked they have that category!) and is in amongst some excellent company with other games – congrats to the other nominees! WOWEE! Super cool news. Thanks to everyone who’s played the game, left…
We Have Lift-Off!
YHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I cannot contain my EXCITEMENT for this day of launch, where the first Bru & Boegie game gets released to the public! This year has been one of learning, and somehow… here we are! From a little brain-spark last year based on characters I’ve been drawing and animating for over 20 years, to a game for sale on Steam. Ma bru – what a ✨thing!✨. Here’s some early sketches of the game from way back when: Was running through the final release PC, Mac and Linux builds on Monday night to do final checks that v1.25 all works fine (it does, at least I couldn’t find any issues and the builds have been through many iterations by this point. I ran through the game in Chinese too.) Using the Steam Deck, the game looks so vibrant. My olde iPhone 11 doesn’t really do it justice, but it looked rad: If you play the game, thank…
Launch Imminent!
I can SMELL da MILK The game is imminently launching next week Wednesday! I can hardly believe the time has almost arrived to unleash these 2 underpanted bald children onto an unsuspecting public. It’s been a rewarding journey of learning to get to this point, and I’m thrilled that it’s almost over the finish line and into an audience’s mouse-clicking paws. Bru & Boegie: Episode 1 Steam NextFest Summary Steam NextFest recently ended, and Bru & Boegie: Episode 1 – Get da MILK! took part in it. The game performed well; it got a bunch of new wishlists and new eyes on the game, and it’s somehow broken into the SteamDB charts with its wishlist activity. I discovered a service called RoboStreamer that let me stream a looping broadcast of playthrough videos that myself and 3 others (with their permission) had made, to the game’s page for a couple of…

Hopefully the demo will get into the hands of a bunch more players, because the full game is launching SOON – 29th October! 🤩🥳🙌 I have a looping stream to the Steam Store page of video playthroughs from me, GrayStillPlays and Yippee Ki Yay Mr Falcon (with kind permission from both of them). Here’s my playthrough! Steam Deck Kiff Very pleased to report that Episode 1 on Steam works super well on the Steam Deck without any fiddling. Looks super vibrant too. Here’s Bru speaking Chinese, because the game now has a Simplified Chinese translation – kiff! Or should I say – 酷。 NAG Mag Interview NAG (New Age Gaming) Magazine – a South African magazine I used to collect when I was a kid – was kind enough to interview me recently about the game!…
