A good thing

I checked this drawing this dude did, the first one from 1989 and the other one in 2012. You can see he’s improved a truck-load. I started wondering how he got so good.

I drew a skeleton over it to check:

You can see how the second skeleton is longer, smaller head in proportion, the pose is more feminine, and … well, it is better:

There we go. Whatchagonnadowiththisinformation? Who knows. It helped me figure out some stuff about drawing. Check that rib-cage? First one is super compressed. Second one, he’s left space for the stomach and stuff, how a normal skeleton should be. Here’s a diagram of a skeleton so you can compare:
