Guys, I’m in the process of giving my site a facelift and came across this Bru & Boegie COVID-19 comic I did during lockdown. It’s… wild. Displaying in a much better format, a slideshow. Click the < or > buttons to navigate the panels, or use the <- left and -> right buttons on your keyboard. Or swipe on a phone or tablet I guess. I… I love it. Can’t remember doing much of it tbh, but I love it. ❤️📶🦠
End of a Chapter
I’ve left Nifty League, after 3 years of an incredible amount of output and content-generation, I decided it was time (after much deliberation) to focus on my health and take a break, and work on some more personal projects. It’s been a real learning experience. I’m pleased that the original 2 co-founders Andrew and Ali are planning to continue working on the project. I hope they and the project do super well. 🙌 I worked on Twende for 3 years, and before I was able to take the break I’d planned to, Nifty League started up. Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth or miss the incredible opportunity, I dove in with both feet and we’ve had a lot of successes, and a lot of things still cooking in the oven. 3 years later, I’m spent, gave it my best, and there’s still a really great chance…
DEGEN Adventure
Using the ‘Adventure Creator’ plugin for Unity I was able to make this little test point-&-click game ‘DEGEN Adventure’. It takes a couple minutes to play through it, but as a vertical slice for something and learning from scratch (thanks to the good documentation, support forums and 2D Primer video), I’m pretty stoked I even managed to make anything, as Unity kind of scares me. Given that I managed to learn TVPaint earlier this year and that too scared me, I figure maybe I can learn a bit of actual gamedev. You can play the game for free in your browser on Itch.io here: https://mikdog.itch.io/degen-adventure DEGEN Adventure by mikdog If you don’t want to play through it, here’s a playthrough video: The old 90s Lucasarts point-&-click adventure games like Sam & Max: Hit the Road, Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island 1&2, and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis,…
Bru & Boegie – METEORITE [trailer]
FRIENDS! I have some exciting news to share. I’ve finally completed the trailer for my short film Bru & Boegie – METEORITE! I used TVPaint for the animation (an expensive, often frustrating software with a steep learning curve, but still fascinating and often brilliant) and created most of the backgrounds on my iPad using Procreate (which was a delight). Martinus Van Tee provided all the voices except for Bru & Boegie, Pete O’ Donoghue handled the audio and sound effects, and Wayne Simpson composed the music – all fantastic and talented collaborators. Here’s to completing things! 🥂looking forward to figuring out the best way to finish it 😁❤️Press the PLAY button on the video below:
BUNNY COMIX
Hi guys. I made a collection of my BUNNY COMIX. I have a lot more Bunny Comix roughed out but felt like I was phoning it in at some point – relatively meaningless/surface-level stuff instead of bringing forth an idea from within when it chose to reveal itself. Anyways, here they all are. Can click on one to see it bigger and start a carousel / slideshow view. Thanks.
Moosebox S1
I saw a meme of how one animated show creator had to point people to online bootleg copies of his work to show what he’d been busy with after his show got canned. I was like ‘Yep’. So I checked – some brave soul’s uploaded the entire original North American dub of ‘Moosebox – Season 1’ to YouTube: [\_(*0*)_/] –< weow > More about Moosebox.
